Split Lip is a well known grizzly bear in Banff National Park, known for his rugged look and visible battle scars. He also sports 4 sets of very long and menacing looking claws.
You can see why you don’t want to run into one of these guys alone in the woods!
Grizzly bears are incredibly strong and powerful animals. Weighing upwards of 600lbs, and growing up to 5 feet tall at the shoulders, the males are especially intimidating to witness in the wild.
This photograph, taken in Spring 2024, shows Split Lip at his lightest, fresh out of his winter hibernation. Over the summer and fall, he will snack on everything he can to bulk up again for the winter.
Chromaluxe Metal Prints
Metal prints make for a beautiful and modern presentation. The image is printed directly onto an aluminum surface, allowing for crisp high-resolution details and rich, stunning colours. Metal prints are surprisingly light-weight even at large sizes, and appear to pop out from the wall thanks to the foam backing.
They arrive at your house securely packaged with all needed hardware attached and ready to hang. Caring for metal prints is also a breeze. Just give them a wipe-down from time to time with a soft, dry non-abrasive cloth to remove any dust or finger prints.
Gallery Wrap Canvas Prints
Canvas prints are an affordable and attractive option, particularly if you are shipping overseas. Images are printed directly onto a textured canvas surface and stretched across a warp-proof wooden frame.
This results in a rustic appearance that suits nature photography perfectly. As with metal prints, canvas prints are lightweight and easy to hang. You can also wipe them down with a dry cloth to remove any dust.
Lustre Paper Prints
Lustre paper prints arrive rolled in a tube or with a rigid cardboard backing to keep them secure in the mail. Paper prints are ideal for you if you plan to frame and mat the print yourself. Giving you lots of options for matching your room décor.
Lustre paper has a slightly glossy surface that is more resistant to finger prints and glare than true glossy paper. We test printed many different types of paper before arriving at one that would suit this style of photography nicely.
