One morning in November of 2023, I watched a family of 3 moose graze in the frost-covered field. This calf was the only one curious enough to come in closer for a clear photograph. Moose can be surprisingly difficult to get a good picture of.
They are not very plentiful in Banff and can be more wary of humans than even the grizzly bears and elk. They also prefer to stick to areas with dense vegetation for their own safety. Moose are the tallest land animal in North America and can be found in almost every part of Canada.
