During Christmas 2023, Mountains and Treasures released a set of snowy watercolour-style Christmas cards. They did so well that stores asked for winter ones too!
Celebrating our beautiful wildlife of the Rocky Mountains, our cards are available to order online (with free shipping!) and for wholesale all across North America.
The cards measure a generous 5×7″ (when folded), which is a little larger than standard greeting cards. They’re blank inside so great to have on hand for any occasion, like birthdays, anniversaries, or even sympathy or thank you cards.
Our cards are designed in Canmore, Alberta and printed locally by Canmore Printcraft. By purchasing cards you’re supporting not just one, but two small businesses!
Each card comes with its own envelope too. For wholesale information, scroll down to the bottom of this page.
Table of Contents
Coffee Fox Art Card
This sweet little green-eyed fox kit enjoying a hot cup of coffee (or cocoa!) was a huge hit over Christmas in Banff and Canmore. We hope his adorable expression makes your heart as warm as your drink.
Snowboarding Polar Bear Art Card
A playful polar bear conquers a snowy slope! Though we have to admit you’ll find a lot more polar bears in the Arctic than the Rocky Mountains, we just knew this one couldn’t miss a powder day.
Cardinals Art Card
Cardinals are one of the most iconic winter birds common mainly throughout Eastern North America, with the odd one even being spotted as far west as Calgary. This sweet pair rests on a snowy pine branch with their little mohawks.
Pine Marten Art Card
The adorable, furry-faced pine marten is in the same family as weasels, badgers and stoats. As cute as they are, they can be quite fearsome predators! Pine martens may be elusive but they can sometimes be curious towards people as well.
Grizzly Lift Art Card
Do you ever wonder if grizzly bears ride the ski lifts when we aren’t around? These two aren’t afraid of heights and give each other an excited glance while they enjoy the view.
Howl at the Moon Wolf Art Card
A wolf calls to its family in the mountains with the full moon high in the sky. To hear these beautiful animals howl to each other is even more eerie on a cold winter day.
Majestic Bull Elk Art Card
A bull elk down by the river on a cold and snowy afternoon. Elk are very large members of the deer family, second in size only to the majestic moose. They sport very impressive antlers and spend their winters browsing for any bits of vegetation peeking through the snow.
Stylish Coyote Scarf Art Card
If any animal could win a fashion show, it’s the coyote. This handsome specimen sports a very stylish snowflake scarf. Coyotes are cunning and clever animals who are closely related to wolves and dogs. Though the three can look quite similar, coyotes are smaller and less powerful than the wolves. They sport a sleeker body shape and pointier nose.
Eagle in Flight Art Card
A bald eagle takes flight through the snowy mountains. These impressive and fearsome birds can see small prey from up to two miles away, making their eyesight 8x stronger than ours! As some of the world’s largest raptors, they can live for longer than 30 years in the wild. They’re found throughout the Rockies, symbolizing freedom and perfect vision.
Grizzly Cub Art Card
This little bear cub waits patiently near a pine tree for its mama. Grizzly cubs are born through the long winters and hibernate with their moms until spring time, when they emerge to start learning about the world. They are known to stay together for 2-3 years before striking out on their own.
Whitetail Deer Art Card
These sweet and skittish creatures are plentiful throughout the rocky mountains. Whitetail deer are the smallest type of deer in North America, with the males only weighing up to 150lbs. Deer have excellent hearing and sense of smell, and can tell that you’re coming from miles away. This makes it a real treat to see one in the wild!
Snowy Bison Art Card
These sturdy, intense animals are symbolic of strength and determination. As the largest mammal in North America, they can stand as tall as 5 feet! While bison were once plentiful in Canada, over hunting, habitat loss and other factors have caused their decline. In 2017, these impressive animals were reintroduced to Banff National Park by helicopter!
